We have had such a great trip & are so thankful to Dad & Mom for their generosity. But, like the old saying goes, "There's no place like home!" After 2,500 miles & 8 days, the kids were just as excited to see this arch as they were to see the St. Louis arch. :)
On the way, through Springfield, OH, we decided to check out the house we used to live in in the late 70s, early 80s. As with most things, it was not as I had remembered. Or, in Mom's words, "What a dump!" :) 
As we drove further north & further east, the temperature kept falling. Where we had been sweltering, just days before, we now were quite chilly!
We pulled in around 4:30 in the afternoon and so ended this adventure. The kids were
awesome! :) They could not have done a better job in Kansas or on the road. I was extremely proud of them. :)
