Everything packed & ready to go. Lights working on the camper. Started out right when we thought we would. The girls fell asleep in the van...all was good. Too good, in fact. :)
We were 20 miles into our trip when a police cruiser pulled up next to us & stayed that way for a couple of miles. Trying to figure out what he was doing, we were going through a mental checklist. It was then that Dave realized that we had not put on our new license plate sticker that expired in April.
We were not pulled over...I guess he radioed in & found out we were current, however, we decided not to press our luck. We turned around, went home, got the sticker, put it on & headed out again.
However, this time, the girls woke up while in our driveway, convinced they had been sleeping for hours. Needless to say, the trip was not the greatest, but, we made it to Holland safely...without a ticket. When we arrived, I told Mom & Dad that either the kids needed to go to sleep or I did. :)
This morning is beautiful...everything seems much better...Aahh, what a good night sleep will do for you. :)
