Smithville has been hit HARD by the flu this week...influenza strain A to be exact. On Monday, at least 20 kids were absent from the fourth grade alone. Colin's teacher was out, with her kids, then it hit her. Yesterday, my friend's son tested positive, to be told by her doctor, that 75% of their patients seen, had been from Smithville.
Last night, we thought it has finally entered our home, as Tessa was complaining of a bad headache & had a slight fever. This morning, she's her bright & chipper self. So, hopefully, we've dodged it for another day.
Believe me, we have tried to get the flu vaccine, several times, yet have been unable, because of the lack of availability. So, we sanitize, wash & pray. :)
