RED Letter Day

"This is going to be the BEST day of my life!", exclaimed Emily at breakfast this morning. And so it turned out to be. The older two kids both had a field trip today...Emily to a Young Author's Conference at the College of Wooster & Colin to the Rolling Ridge Ranch in Holmes county.

Then, after school, their friends, Ben & Anna, came for the afternoon/evening. Colin's friend, Gabe, ended up getting off the bus at our house, too. The more the merrier! They all played so well together...little to no bickering...my kind of afternoon!

This evening, after supper was finished, we loaded everyone into two cars & went to the kids' art show at the High School. We had a great time looking at all the hard work the kids have been doing this year.

Finally, after the art show, we took Anna & Ben home to their new house & got the grand tour. Their mom & my friend, Lorena & I talked for the next two hours while they played. What a great age.

So, now it is way past every one's bedtime. They'll probably be very cranky tomorrow, but what a fun day!
