We drove through the night & arrived in the St. Louis area around 8:30 in the morning. We stopped at McDonald's to change, eat & goof around (as you can see in the slide show) :).
Then, it was on to the arch. Although Dave didn't think we necessarily needed to go to the top, ironically he ended up taking all four kids by himself, due to my fear of heights (I really tried to psych myself up to do it, but just could not) & Dad's claustrophobia (the tram to the top was rather small!). Needless to say, the kids thought it was very cool. THANKS, DADDY!

Originally, our plan was to stop at the St. Louis Zoo. However, because it was way too steamy (100 degrees), we left the city around 1:00 & drove for another 2 hours. We spent the night in Columbia, MO. As a side note...while there, we played at the largest Burger King Playland in the world. Ohh..LaLa! :)
