Next it was off to the Maxwell Game Preserve for a tram ride through the park, where we got up close & personal with some big old buffalo.
On the way back to Lindsborg, we toured several smaller towns, where my Grandma grew up. We also visited a graveyard to see where many ancestors are buried. Emily even saw her great-great-great grandmother, Emily's, grave.
After lunch and a rest time, we went for a swim at the town pool. The older two had a great time conquering "Thor's Revenge", the water slide. The girls really wanted to try (can't be left behind, after all!)...maybe another year. :)
Unfortunately, as fun as the day had been, it had also been very long and very hot. It wasn't long into supper that Colin started throwing up & next came diarrhea. At 11:00 that night, 5 hours after everything began, he still wasn't able to keep a teaspoon of water down. So, mom & I took him to the local ER. Poor kiddo, felt awful, yet was also so tired. He fell asleep in the ER & didn't even wake up when they put in his IV.
