Some 2 years ago, David's cousin & his wife felt God was calling their family to New Orleans, LA to help with post-Katrina rebuilding. So, they quit jobs, sold their house & most of their possessions & made the big move. Although things have not always been as they expected, God has been faithful & they have seen incredible things during their time there.
Now it is our time to show our faithfulness by praying for them as they are facing Gustav.
So Monte, Kim & kids, we love you & are praying for you!
Psalms 107:28-32:
28 Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble,
and he brought them out of their distress.
29 He stilled the storm to a whisper;
the waves of the sea were hushed.
30 They were glad when it grew calm,
and he guided them to their desired haven.
31 Let them give thanks to the LORD for his unfailing love
and his wonderful deeds for men.
32 Let them exalt him in the assembly of the people
and praise him in the council of the elders.
Isaiah 43:1-2a
1 But now, this is what the LORD says—
he who created you, O Jacob,
he who formed you, O Israel:
"Fear not, for I have redeemed you;
I have summoned you by name; you are mine.
2 When you pass through the waters,
I will be with you;
and when you pass through the rivers,
they will not sweep over you.
