Yesterday, we became foster parents to a kitten that I affectionately named "Ditch Kitty", after the location in which my parents found him. I found a home for him, but unfortunately, this morning, he had to be put down because distemper hit fast & furiously.
Colin is going to take this news incredibly hard! Although he has a pretty tough exterior, he is a real softy! I am not looking forward to having to tell him this, but I also know that it's lessons like this that is all apart of growing up.
UPDATE...Much to my amazement, Colin took the news of Ditch Kitty's death very well. He's still convinced, however, that he would have lived if only we could have gotten him to eat a little more.
