At our church, when the kids enter 1st grade, they receive a Bible from the congregation. Since Emily entered 1st grade & received hers, Colin has been dreaming of that day.
Unfortunately, our Pastor had to have back surgery at the end of the summer, so the gifting of the Bibles was put on hold. Practically every week we heard, "Do you think I'll get my Bible this Sunday?"
The day finally arrived yesterday! And let me tell you, there was not one disappointed bone in that little boy's body! He could not keep his excitement from showing. From the smile on his face to his strained "whispering", every ounce of him was excited. We tried to calm him down a bit, but in the words of our friends, the Ramseyer's, "If you can't be excited by a new Bible at church, what can you be?"
