She did not get it from me!

A month ago, Emily brought home a permission slip for the 22nd annual Punt, Pass, Kick Competition for Green Local Elementary Schools. She wasn't so sure she wanted to do it, but I signed the slip & put it in her backpack. "When you decide, you can turn this in or pitch it. Your choice."

Two days later..."I turned in the slip. Megan's (best friend) going to do it, too."

September 17...Day of the Competition...after picking her up from the High School football stadium..."How did it go today?" "It was OK, but I'm hot & thirsty. Can I get a big drink when I get home?"

Skip ahead to September 19..."Mom! During the morning announcements today, they said I won first place for the girls' 3rd grade & I get a trophy!"

Last night we went to the Smithville Football game, where the grade level winners were introduced & given the award.


All I can say is...she didn't get her athletic ability from me! :)
