A little about the past few days

New Year's Eve: Tried something new...a modified progressive dinner...everyone chose what restaurant they'd like to eat at, we picked food up there for that person, came home & had a pig fest. We ended up at 5 different restaurants in 2 different towns.

The rest of the evening we spent "just as a family" playing games, watching a movie, and trying to stay awake. Then at midnight we watched the ball drop, toasted in the New Year with sparkling grape juice & instead of fireworks, jumped on bubble wrap...not only fun, but very fun sounding.

New Year's Day: We slept in :), hung out as a family, & played some games. Dad came over to help Dave run a new phone line so that we could move the computer upstairs (I feel much safer now, being able to keep a closer eye on the kids while they have computer time. Unfortunately, you can never be too careful.). They also worked on installing an over the range microwave.

Got a call from Joyce, David's mom, saying that she had made it to Tuscon, AZ, where she's visiting Nathan, David's twin. She was very excited about the Red Ford Mustang the rental company had given her. :) Can't wait to see those pictures!

Friday: Got another call from Joyce. They were on top of a mountain in short sleeves and sandals...mid 70s & very sunny...happy for her...so sad for us! :) Got an exciting email...my college roommate, Becky, is getting married! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Saturday: I actually had a day off...very unusual for a Saturday. But, we ended up at the library anyway as Emily ran out of reading material. The men finished up the electrical projects. Woo-Hoo!

Sunday: Getting psyched up to start school again. We've really had a good Christmas Break!
