This weekend was one of those times that forces you to slow down & just relax. I love those! Because of the winter storm, Emily's sleepover with a friend on Friday...cancelled. Emily's first Upwards basketball game Saturday morning...cancelled. My shift Saturday afternoon at the library...cancelled (a no parking ban in Orrville, so we had to close). Instead, we had a day of R & R at home. Saturday evening, we braved the elements to sled on mom & dad "big hill" (Someday the kids will be so surprised how small it really is. :) )
Unfortunately, we had a bit of interruption to our restful weekend by a 3 hour trip to the ER with Cait. Thankfully, we caught the ear infection quickly & she's on her way to being her ornery little self again. :)
On the way home from the hospital at 10:30 last evening, we were given yet another gift of a peaceful, glistening snow shower. Such a beautiful way to end this weekend full of unexpected gifts.
